It is human nature to maintain individuality & have personal space. Even a child whispers in the Mom's ears " Don't tell this to anyone..." and feel relieved with the assurance from mother..
When the parents would catch a a small child performing soliloquies and mono-acts in front of a mirror , the child would coyly protest with an embarrassed urge to be left alone for some time ....his play time.. when he uninhibitedly express himself out ..to himself..
We kept our own small secrets and happily grew ... Our contacts, Photographs, Letters, Passwords ... some people had personal Diaries too..
Insidiously , we lost this right to privacy .. We had internet, smartphones who wriggled permissions out of us to access the apps.. The app costed only 50 or 100 bucks but traded all the memory contents, contact books, Call logs, SMS logs along with it... Some Apps can even turn on the audio recorder & camera too from remote.
Have you ever wondered why a browser asks you for permission to remember a password and you click on 'NO" when it anyway has the capability to record the password ..
Merely clicking on name on the social networking sites grabs your thread and a massive data mining tool start filling the cyber space with your traces.. You location is also read.. There are Keypad apps that can log anything you type..
People devise innovative methods to dodge the cybergaze unnecessarily taxing their minds..
Am I being paranoid!!! Surely not... nor was Mr. Orwell. There is every reason to be careful about your cyber behaviour..
